To celebrate the 4th of July, or whenever you’re feeling patriotic, here’s a quick project, Star Spangled Bookmark. It only takes a small amount of sock yarn, and could easily be knit in an hour. You could also change the color scheme to match your school colors, favorite sports team, or another holiday. Just the thing for hot summer days.

Size US 3 knitting needles, double point and straight

Approx. 10-15 yards of sock yarn (equal amounts of each color, if using more than one color)

I dyed the yarn using food safe dyes.
