This pattern is available from etsy.com for $5.50.

I used standard acrylic yarn for the body and crochet thread for the eyes. I prefer the crochet eyes but the pattern also includes instructions for plastic safety eyes. I have uploaded a photo with crochet eyes and a photo with plastic eyes. Personally, I prefer the crochet eyes.
