Starburst Granny Square Pouch
The Starburst Granny Square Pouch is a quick and easy pattern suitable for confident beginners. It can be used as a trinket pouch, a dice bag, a gift bag, or to hold your small daily items so they stop getting lost in your purse or backpack.
The project is worked by seaming two granny squares together and working the top (opening) of the bag in the round. Ties are woven through the top to act as a drawstring closure.
This pattern calls for 27 grams or 60 yards (57 meters) of worsted weight yarn. Using a different yarn weight will produce a larger or smaller finished product, but be mindful of how large the holes might be when using a chunkier yarn.
Because of this, gauge is not important to this pattern!
A 4.5 mm (or 0.5 mm smaller than called for by your yarn label) is required. So are scissors and a yarn needle. A stitch marker is optional but recommended.
Instructions for left handed crocheters are included where necessary.
The yarn used in the samples is Loops & Threads Impeccable Tweed in the colors ‘White Tweed’ and ‘Rose Tweed’. The yarn used in tester photos are Peaches and Crème cotton in ‘Oasis’ and an unknown yarn (the green).
