Inspired by the night sky, Starflower is a transitional piece crocheted in dk weight yarn. It is a sleeveless, cropped cardigan perfect for layering over dresses, tunics, and collared shirts for added warmth. Add whimsical buttons for a touch of fun or leave it buttonless!

This is a completely made-to-your-size garment that requires doing math. My hope is to empower you to design your own garments by giving you the formulas to do so. The math takes time, but the finished garment will fit you perfectly.

Because this garment is completely to your size, I do not have yardage estimates to give. You can use any weight of yarn you would like, and I have included instructions on how to calculate your yardage before you begin. For reference: I used DK weight yarn dyed by Luna Purl Yarns in the colorway Twinkle, and used a total of 975 yards. My sample was made to fit a 53” bust with 5” of negative ease, so if you are making a finished size of 48”, you can assume to use around 1000 yards of DK weight yarn.
