The pattern has been updated to my current layout and writing style in Autumn of 2025, with new sample photos as well! In this update I’ve also included a written version of the chart in the English pattern, Finnish is only charted.

Stargazer is a beanie with a classic shape, folded brim and simple lace with a few bobbles. You can add a pompom if you want to, and why wouldn’t you! The pattern features a little trick, so you don’t need to purl the top of the hat.

Size:
1-2. Choose a size with 1-2” / 2,5-5 cm negative ease.

Finished circumference: 19-22” / 48-56 cm
Finished height: 9-10” / 23-25 cm with brim folded.

Yarn:
DK-weight wool yarn (the yarn used in the sample is discontinued), approximately 250-275 yards / 230-250 meters per 100 grams.

1 skein.

Reserve 20 grams of extra yarn for the pompom.
