Stargazer is a beanie with a classic shape, folded brim and simple lace with a few bobbles. You can add a pompom if you want to, and why wouldn’t you!

The pattern features a little trick, so you don’t need to purl the top of the hat. Note that there are only charted instructions for the lace.

DK-weight wool yarn (the yarn used in the sample is discontinued), approximately 250-275 yards / (230-250 meters) /100 grams.

Needle:
4 mm (US 6) - 16”/40 cm circular needle (or longer is you prefer to use magic loop) and dpns for crown shaping. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the right gauge.
