The Starlight Cowl is the ultimate mindless project where you just get to knit in the round, and enjoy those pops of colour in between pretty eyelet rounds. This beginner friendly cowl uses mini skeins, and you can use as many colours as you like!
If you’re looking for an easy project to use those special mini skeins or leftover yarn in your stash, this is most definitely the pattern for you!

Yarn: The sample for the cowl used a total of 612yds / 560m of fingering weight yarn.
The sample used:
• 8 x 20g mini skeins, however you can widen or shorten the cowl width using as many or a few mini skeins as you would like.
• The sample uses a mixture of mini skeins from Lay Family Yarn “Squiddle Village” Collection (93yds / 85m per 20g) (75% merino, 25% nylon) and Sherry Iris “Pride and Prejudice” set (93yds / 85m per 20g) (75% merino, 25% nylon). The sample used approximately 76yds / 70m of each mini skein.

Recommended Needle Size:
• Main Needle - 24” 3.25mm (US Size 3) circular needle, or appropriate size to obtain gauge.
• Smaller Needle - 24” 2.75mm (US Size 2) circular needle, or 1 or 2 sizes smaller than the main needle.

Gauge: 24 sts / 36 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch with main needle in the round.
