Do you own a skein of sock yarn so beautiful you can’t bear to put it on your feet for fear of holes? Have you always wanted to knit knee socks but dreaded the number of stitches required?

This versatile pattern will allow you to create beautiful knee socks – or regular-height socks – out of
your favorite yarn! Utilizing a looser-than-typical sock gauge for the leg and instep of the sock while working the heel, sole, and toe of the sock in a durable, sturdy stitch results in fantastically practical socks. The addition of stripes makes them perfect for using up leftover sock yarn or showcasing handpainted yarns.
