“Good morning starshine, the earth says hello.” Hair. The musical was controversial. The music was amazing. My parents got the sound track when it was new back in 1968, and I wore it out. One of my favorite cuts was always “Good Morning Starshine.” Do you know it? If you do, just try to not sing it while you knit these cabled stars that dance in front of a distant galaxy.

Scarf is knit from one end straight through to the other. Knit it up with a soft fingering weight yarn and larger-than-normal needles for a stylish, light weight scarf.

Size (length x width): 11.75 x 50.5 (14.75 x 41.5, 14.75 x 64.5) inches; 30 x 128 (37 x 105, 37 x 164) cm.

Yarn: 375 (375, 580) fingering weight yarn.

Skills: k2tog, ssk, YO, seed stitch, 3x3 (6-stitch) cable.

Other supplies: Stitch markers are optional.

Stitch patterns: Charted and written.
