Startrek is an extra thick and warm double-sided scarf. It’s worked entirely with modular technique. All motifs are knit in-the-round, from the edge to the center. There’s no sewing or seams; everything is knit on.

The best thing about this scarf is versatility: you can knit stars on each side with two different colors, and wear it one or the other side up to complement different outfits.

Materials and gauge:

  • fingering-weight yarn in 3 colors: 70g(280m) of each selfstriping for the stars; and 70g(280m) of solid for background color. This amount is anough to make a skinny scarf 10-star long. With 2.5mm circular needle, each star is about 15-16cm across.
  • tapestry needle
  • optional: washable fabric glue (you will need very little) to secure the knots, especially if you work with slippery yarn.
