Fun and colorful mitts that can be quickly knit using up the odds and ends in your stash. Perfect for gifts! Ribbing at the cuffs and hands alternates with a moss stitch section, where the thumb shaping is worked, with each section separated by a reverse stockinette stitch welt.

Gauge
Small/Medium: 5 sts x 7 rnds = 1” on US 7 – 4.5 mm needles in Moss Stitch.
Large/Extra-Large: 4.5 sts x 6 rnds = 1” on US 8 – 5 mm needles in Moss Stitch.

Pattern can be worked with as few as three different colors or as many as seven. The ribbing and moss stitch sections each require approximately 40 yards of yarn (total, for both mitts); while the reverse stockinette stitch sections each require approximately 5 yards of yarn (total, for both mitts).
