This is a great pattern to use up smaller amounts of yarn in your stash. If you use DK or Sport Weight doubled that will work well along with the Worsted Weight yarn.

I used this pattern to teach stranding and mosaic knitting so it is written to be worked back and forth so that colour work was done on both knit and purl rows. With a little bit of thought this pattern could be adapted to be worked in the round.
