Stashdown Blanket

Grab your Bernat Blanket stash and get working on this cozy blanket! This pattern is written recipe-style, meaning you get to completely customize your size. Standard blanket sizes are given, with suggested number of rows and strips to work to achieve each size.

It is a great opportunity to practice the Tunisian Simple Stitch, and learn the Join-As-You-Go technique. Work on it a little bit at a time, and before you know it you’ll have the coziest blanket on the block!

You will need:
Bernat Blanket yarn (yardage varies)
Q/16.00mm crochet hook
Scissors, tape measure and yarn needle

Meeting gauge is not crucial for this pattern, however, it is what I have used to calculate the approximate requirements for the standard blanket sizes.

The sample was made with scraps for a wildly colourful assortment, but feel free to make yours with more of a plan! Solid stripes or planned colour changes will give your blanket a professional look that can be tailored to match your home.

TIP: if you make yours using scraps (as I have) or with many colour changes, I recommend weaving in your ends after each strip.
