This cardigan features the iris stitch, an easy and versatile stitch with great texture. The pattern is easily customizable in all the components, from the length of the panels to the arm openings to the sleeves, so that you can achieve the specific fit you want.

The PDF pattern has clear instructions and a photo tutorial for every step; the photos are separate from the written instructions at the back of the PDF so you can choose not to print them to save printer ink and zoom in to see the detail when viewing them on your device.

This pattern is written in standard US terms in smallest size with larger sizes following in parentheses, as follows:  XS (S, M, L, XL) (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X).

This cardigan is intended to have a relaxed, comfortable fit with 4-6 inches of positive ease in the main panels of the cardigan and is meant to be worn open in the front. The cardigan can be customized in the length of the panels and the sleeves. The panels are worked separately and seamed together; sleeves are crocheted separately and seamed onto the arm openings. Edging is added to the bottom hem and the collar is crocheted directly into the ends of the panel rows around the cardigan opening.
