This close-fitting cowl is knit in the round starting and ending with 2x2 ribbing. The body of the cowl pattern is a mosaic design, which is knit with only one color at a time.

The mosaic pattern is easy to work, and this cowl knits up quickly!

The yarn used is the sumptuous Yowza from Miss Babs, which is described as a DK weight. A light worsted weight would also work for this cowl.
The testers used a variety of weights from DK through Aran, and all had great results. The gauge is not critical, but will affect the yardage used and the size of the finished cowl.

The yarn used in the sample for the pattern photo is Miss Babs, Yowza, 100% Merino, 560yds/226g per skein.
MC Dark Parchment 1 skein (total used 120yds).
CC Black Salt, 1 skein (total used 130yds).
Two yarns of high contrast solid colors give the best effect. Using the lighter color as the MC will achieve the pattern effect shown.

The finished measurements are 19.75“/50cm circumference, 7.75“/19.5cm depth.
