Tartan is such a lovely print and their are so many to choose from. I played it safe and went with the most popular of tartan patterns; the Stewart tartan.

The intricate design looks like it ill be hard to knit at first, but actually the straight lines make it very easy, and its a joy to see the pattern working its way off the pins.

The tea cosy gas a gathered top design. The top is gathered up with a wee knitted cord with blue tassels at each end, that echo the Scottish thistle.

The tea cosy look beautiful in the rich traditional colours, but you’d also look fantastic if the colours were substituted for shades of pink for example to funk it up.

Get your clan around the teapot with this lovely Stewart Tartan inspired tea cosy.
