As much as I love vanilla socks, sometimes I need a little extra flair, and what is better than adding some stripes? Named after my university’s mascot, the Stingers Up Socks add stripes to your vanilla socks and give them just a little spice. This is a perfect stash buster to use up your leftovers!

This pattern is written for the Magic Loop but can be adapted to your favorite sock knitting technique.

Yarns Used:
- 100 grams (approx. 437 yards) of fingering weight yarn.
Pattern uses Dye Mad Yarns “Aquarius” on their Chester Sock base
(75% SW Merino/25% Nylon (437 yards/100 grams)

  • 30-50 grams contrast color depending on size Pattern uses Dye Mad Yarns “Amethyst” on their Chester Sock base (75% SW Merino/25% Nylon (437 yards/100 grams)

These yarn estimates are very generous; I hate playing yarn chicken so I wanted to be sure knitters had more than enough yarn to complete their socks.
