This afghan was created as part of the Northampton Wools Stitch of the Month Club. Shelby Hines attended this class and this is the result of her efforts. We thought it looked so good that we put together the directions for the stitch patterns that she used.
This is a fun long term project and would make a great gift for an upcoming wedding. Use as many of the patterns as you like, some of them are more difficult than others, but all of them will teach you some new knitting techniques.
Knit it with any worsted weight yarn.
I sewed the squares into strips and then blocked each strip separately before sewing the strips together.
This is a good size for cuddling and will definitely become a treasure.
Have fun!
