The Stitchbird Beanie is a quick and easy hat to work up and creates a warm and cozy hat that will brighten up any dreary winter day.

This hat pattern is designed specifically for use with Lion Brand Stitchbird yarn which is a soft roving style yarn that is “caged” with a black “netting” to give it a very unique look. The yarn is also self striping with vibrant color schemes. The Stitchbird Beanie crochet pattern was designed to take advantage of all of these unique details of the yarn to give a great fitting and a warm and comfortable hat to wear during the winter months.

You will need one entire yarn cake to make this hat, using a K (6.50mm) Hook to make the ribbed, knit-look band (using 2 different slip stitch techniques to achieve the ribbing) and using an L (8.00mm) Hook for the body of the hat. Topping off the hat with a fluffy faux fur pom pom is a perfect way to finish off the hat, black works really well to coordinate with the “netting” and to help make the colours of the hat really pop.

Thank you for your interest in the pattern, I hope you enjoy making this hat!
