Stitchbound hairband
This super warm and minimalist headband is a quick and practical knit. It is perfect for keeping your ears cozy on cold days without too much bulk, which is a must for me. It is made with soft merino wool, which gives a great balance between warmth and breathability, plus it feels awesome against the skin.
The construction is straightforward, it is first knitted in the round and then folded and grafted for an invisible finish. A small crochet detail is done at the end.
This project is great for gifting or to use leftover yarn. Kids sizes have also been added to the pattern.
When choosing your size, please consider that the merino yarn has certain elasticity. Sizes have been calculated so that the headband sits perfectly in your head without being too tight (perks of knitting to measure ;) ).
The headband is knitted firstly with a provisional cast on, then worked in the round and when the desired length is reached, grafted together.
Finally, a decorative stitch is crocheted around both edges with a simple single crochet stitch.
