DESIGN OVERVIEW: The hat is knitted in Aran weight yarn on circular needles. The Brim of hat is knitted with two strands of yarn held together, body of hat is knitted with one strand of yarn. The hat is knitted in shape of panama hat in garter stitch.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS FOR HAT baby (toddler; child; teen/adult M; adult L):
Fits head circumference:
• in cm: 39-43 (44-48, 49-52, 53-56, 58-60),
• in inches: 16” (18”, 20”, 22”, 23”).

TOOLS & MATERIALS REQUIRED:
• 2 (2; 3; 3; 4) x 50 g of wool yarn
• Circular needle size US 5 (3.75 mm) x 60 cm
• Circular needle size US 5 (3.75 mm) x 40 cm
• Knitting needle US 7 (4.5 mm) x 50 cm
• DPN size US 5 (3.75 mm) for hat’s crown
• spare circular needle or waste yarn for provisional cast on
• Tapestry needle or crochet hook
• Stitch markers

TYPE OF YARN: Aran/ 10-ply
YARN LENGTH: 82 yds (75 m) in 50g skein
USED YARN: Drops Nepal + strand of mohair, however the gauge is still for Aran yarn.

GAUGE: 17 stitches and 24 rows = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round and after blocking using needle US 7 (4.5 mm)
