The inspiration for the Stole My Heart COWL came from seeing an amazing vintage fur stole from the 1930’s. What seems like a simple ribbing pattern at a loose gauge is actually not! In order to mimic the rivets typical on a fur stole, and also achieve a stiff fabric similar to a real stole, I Ianded on an interesting stitch pattern that is actually knit at a tight gauge and is completely reversible. Win, win! To help create more of a furry feel I added some fluff by holding a lace weight suri alpaca silk blend yarn with a bulky merino. This accessory can be left unseamed if you prefer and really dressed up with the addition of a shawl pin.
