We find the coziness of garter stitch lace irresistable, especially in light, soft wool. This lace rectangle, inspired by traditional Orenburg shawls of Russia, has a built-in sawtooth edging and features a traditional Shetland Rose motif within the center panel. The fabric is knit on both sides (no purling), though the lace patterning is only ever worked on RS rows.
