Stonehenge in Mid-November…. an incredible trip to Stonehenge. Caught the tour bus at the railway station in Salisbury, not too busy, and headed for a lovely 30 min drive through the open countryside to the Stonehenge Visitor Centre. Great display and the commentator was top notch. Then on to the shuttle bus to the actual stones. Large crowd, but not overwhelming. I really did not know what to expect. I almost felt let down at first; I think what brought that on we’re all the people taking goofing selfies, and poses, and it seemed so out of place and somewhat disrespectful. As we kept walking around the site and lost the crowd, I finally got THAT rush I had been waiting for. Stonehenge standing there in spite of all of the “destruction” from lack of respect.
