I created a cotton sweater for September evenings, when it starts to get cooler.
The piece is worked top down with a circular yoke.
The increases are distributed throughout the height of the yoke, because I wanted to avoid the curled effect when the increases are distributed all in the first rounds.
I inserted the honeycomb pattern by widening it and squeezing it here and there to play a little with the colors.
Not happy, I decided to make the sleeves in a different color, adding a small detail on the edges that recalls the motif of the yoke.
You can play too by deciding the width of the “bricks” or whether or not to make them at all and thus create your own pattern. Make way for the imagination!

I used Tre Sfere recycled ecological cotton.
300g of color no. 11 (Light blue) and 100 g of color no. 111 (Light gray) for the Small and Medium size. For the Large size you need 350g and 150g respectively

Ho creato un maglioncino di cotone per le sere di Settembre, quando comincia ad essere più fresco.
La lavorazione è Top down con uno sprone circolare. Gli aumenti sono distribuiti per tutta l’altezza dello sprone, perché volevo evitare l’effetto arricciato che si crea quando gli aumenti vengono distribuiti tutti nei primi giri.
Ho inserito il motivo a nido d’ape allargandolo e stringendolo qua e là per giocare un po’ con i colori.
Non contenta ho deciso di fare anche le maniche di colore diverso, aggiungendo un piccolo particolare sui bordi che richiama il motivo dello sprone.
