Chic, minimalist and wonderfully versatile, the Stonewash Coatigan is the perfect fall layer! This a modern crochet cardigan features tapered sleeves and hidden pockets for a coat-like look (hence the name Coat-igan :)). The long length makes this cardigan super easy to pair over jeans, dresses and leggings and the clean, streamlined look means this coatigan will enhance anyone’s wardrobe!

Despite its long length this pattern only requires shoulder and armhole seaming, which greatly reduces the time you spend sewing! The body is crocheted entirely in one piece and the sleeves are first worked in rows (to slot into the armhole space) and then in rounds. The hidden pockets are crocheted into the body piece and the sides are sewn into the back of the cardigan. This method is a lot easier than it seems and the Coatigan is great for beginner crochet garment makers.

This pattern is also accompanied by a video tutorial.
