I love hiking Adirondack Mountains and I love wearing a nice wool sweater while doing it! I wanted to design the perfect winter pullover for my adventures in the colors I love - green-blue and white, which are omnipresent in Lake George area in the winter time. I’m fascinated with endless forms of ice; to me any ice has its own story to tell.

This sweater is worked top-down. It’s loosely fitted with a positive ease of 3-6 in. Please note that the yarn used for this design blooms substantially after washing. If you decide to use different yarn, your gauge might be very different. It is therefore very important to test your gauge first and adjust the needle size as needed.

The pattern also includes a small “recipe” to knit an even more oversized version.

37 (42, 46) in /94 (106.5, 117) cm

Sample sizes pictured are M (loosely fitted) and L (oversized version). The model is 5’ 6” /168 cm tall with a 33” /84 cm bust.

YARN
Fingering weight yarn, preferably non-superwash, ‘sticky’ wool yarn.

Yarn used for this design: Holst Garn Supersoft – 2 ply, 50% merino wool and 50% shetland wool (287 m /314 yds per 50 g)

You can choose between two color schemes: blue-green-white or charcoal-pink-ecru.

YMC: Bleached White Ecru 1 (1, 1) skeins or 314 (314, 314) yds / 287 (287, 287) m
BMC: Marlin Charcoal 4 (4, 5) skeins or 1256 (1256, 1570) yds / 1148.5 (1148.5, 1436) m
CC1: Spring Sugarsnap 0.3 (0.3, 0.3) skeins or 60 (60, 60) yds /55 (55, 55) m
CC2: Topaz Sweet Pea 0.2 (0.2, 0.2) skeins or 30 (30, 30) yds /27.5 (27.5, 27.5) m
