The socks are knitted with a pattern from the book “Fishermen Sweaters” by Stella Ruhe. The book contains lots of little symbolic patters used by Dutch Fishermen wifes in the sweaters for there men. This patters stands for fishing nets. The funny thing is that the pattern makes the sock look like a choppy sea.

The pattern is written for Eur 42/43 (foot length 27,5 cm(10,75”)) , Eur 46/47 (foot length 30 cm(11.75”)).

You can use all kinds of sock yarn but for this pattern I think a combination of blue and white is needed for the effect.

English is not my mother tongue so I hope the English pattern is readable for all you English speaking people.

The pattern has been tested but if you find any errors please let me know!
