A knit beanie pattern modeled after the hurricane warning flag motif featured on the hemline of the 2023-24 season jerseys for the Carolina Hurricanes hockey team. It is a beginner-friendly colorwork pattern with a simple, easy to remember repeat & simple striping for added detail.

Materials:
1 skein (50g) Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Sport in each of the following colors: Coal, Hollyberry, Red, White
US Size 3 16” circular needles
US Size 3 DPNs (optional)
Stitch Markers – one unique for BOR & 9 (optional) for indicating decreases
Tapestry needle & scissors for weaving in ends
Pom-pom maker or scrap cardboard (optional)

Approximate weight of yarn used in samples:
MC – 35g for standard ribbed cuff (Coal), 40g for folded cuff (White)
CC – 10g
Hollyberry – 10g
Red – 10g
