Stormy Weather is an extra cozy DK-weight sock with a doubled cuff, a ribbed pattern featuring a simple twisted cable panel along the outside of each foot, and anatomically correct toe shaping.
The pattern contains instructions for a standard rounded toe if preferred, instructions for a lifted increase technique for hole-less gusset joins, and a list of video tutorial references for additionally mentioned techniques.
The pattern is primarily written with 9” Circular needles in mind, but also tries to take into account those who prefer a Magic Loop method. The pattern itself does assume some former knowledge of sock construction, though it does point you towards video tutorials that are perfect for the beginner sock knitter.

S (M, L) Sizes in Gauge measure 6.75” (8”, 9.25”) to fit circumferences of 7.75-8.75” (9-10”, 10.25-11.25”).
Your finished sock should have 1”-2” of negative ease depending on preferred fit.

Gauge is 24 stitches / 4 inches: 6 stitches per inch on a US #3 needle in stockinette stitch in the round.

Sample knit on Trilogy Yarns MCN DK: MC, Stormy Weather; CC, Navy.
MC: approx. 70 (78, 86) grams; 162 (180, 199) yards
CC: approx. 43 (48, 53) grams; 100 (111, 123) yards
Measurements are approximate and will be affected by differences in gauge and design modifications. The easiest way to eliminate needed yardage is to eliminate the doubled cuff and to experiment with shorter leg lengths.

You will need either a US #3 9” Circular needle + a US #3 32” (or preferred length) for Magic Loop to finish the toe.
Or, if working Magic Loop throughout, you can complete the full sock on your preferred length of US #3 needles.
Also 3 removable stitch markers.
