This blanket is knit in garter stitch and creates a squishy cozy rectangular throw that is a modern take on a classic design.

Using contrasting colours make the lines pop or instead, a gradient of hues will create waves of colour, still with a sharp design.

The most challenging parts of the blanket are the Set Up and Put Down Rows that involve German Short Rows. Once the set-up rows are complete, the two row repeat that maintain the chevrons’ shape
can make for quick work of stash yarn or eat up long winter
evenings.

This blanket can easily be scaled down for a baby blanket or scaled up for a bed. The throw used 9 balls of Estelle Worsted.
