Skill level: easy

You will need to know how to:
k2tog-knit two stitches together
p2tog-purl two stitches together
sl1, k1, psso - slip a stitch, knit and pass the slipped stitch over

Materials: Tapestry needle and two stitch holders
Notions: Ribbon or elastic cord if you choose to make the eyelets.

I used two skeins of Cascade 220 and had enough yarn leftover to make the cuff of a hat to match the mittens.

You can use other yarn as long as it will felt. Worsted weight is necessary for the mens and womens’ sizes.

I would encourage you to use colorful scrap wool in the cuff (to use up those bits and pieces in your stash).

Gauge (with yarn held double):
stockinette: 16 sts x 23 rows over 4” (size US 11 needle)
in k1, p1 ribbing: 27 sts x 15 sts over 4” (size US 6 needle)

Have fun and let me know how it goes!
