Need a simple pattern for keeping your hands warm while typing, using a touchscreen, or anything else? Don’t like the looser fit of fingerless mitts? Try these ribbed fingerless gloves, which conform much more closely to your hands than mitts do while keeping your fingertips free. The backs are ribbed, and the palms are knitted in stockinette stitch for comfort.

This pattern is for a knitter who enjoys knitting in the round, is comfortable working a gusset to allow room for the thumb, and making individual finger tubes.

These mitts take around one skein of Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice yarn. You can use any worsted or aran weight yarn you prefer.

The pattern as written provides for one size only - but as it is mostly ribbing, it is fairly stretchy.

Updated on 8th December 2018 - I cleared up some of the wording, including adding definitions for M1R and M1L which I left out previously, oops! I’ve also made the thumb construction on both gloves match more closely.
