Manipulating a self-striping yarn with an interesting stitch pattern, short-rows, or unusual construction can bring out the beauty of the yarn.

The Strata Hat uses biasing with lace and ribbing to bend the colors into a chevron. The Strata Mitts also use this technique.

The other hats in this collection include TryAngles Hat and Folded Blanket Hat. Because of biasing from the stitch pattern, this pattern is less stretchy than the TryAngles Hat or the Folded Blanket Hat.

Yardage approx. 165 (175, 185, 195) yds.
