Stratosphere Shell
When a simple shell is not enough, try something a little different! This shell only looks more complicated than it really is.
Each side of the body is worked from the bottom up; the left body includes both the left front and left back, and the right body includes both right front and right back, with stockinette stitch worked on each side of the lace panels.
Bands of garter stitch are added to each center front/back edge before joining the pieces using Three-Needle Bind-Off, leaving slits at the lower back and below the front neck. The shoulders are shaped using short-rows, then they’re also joined using Three-Needle Bind-Off.
The bottom of the body is edged with K1, P1 Rib, while the neck and armholes are edged with a narrow band of garter stitch.
