Strauss is an example of a gradient built from ten fine strands of yarn.

This design can be worked in any two colors. But, if the contrast between the two colors were low, the overall look would change.

The yarn is Catherine Lowe’s luxurious merino. Catherine prepared a special kit with pre-wound marl balls. Without pre-winding, working from ten strands would be quite challenging. The working yardage is 1300 yards, but that means this piece has 13,000 total yards! The dimensions are 14 x 84 inches (36 x 213 cm)
