Yarn
The strawberries are only made from the standard yarn cotton 8/4 (50 g = about 170 m). You can use any brand of yarn you like, or any type of yarn that matches the hook size. You will need the following amounts for each strawberry:
Small strawberry:
Red: about 1 g
Dark green: very little
Mustard yellow: very little
Large strawberry:
Red: about 2 g
Dark green: very little
Mustard yellow: very little

Crochet hook
2,0-2,5 mm/US size B-1
If you are used to using a different sized hook for cotton 8/4 you can do that, but it might have a small impact on the size of the finished product, and the needed amount of yarn. You can check the crochet gauge, which is given in the pattern, to make sure you have the right sized hook.
