SIZE
The finished strawberry stem measures approximately 30 cm (11.8 inches) tall. The strawberry plant itself measures approximately 10 cm (3.9 inches) across, depending on how you arrange the berries, flowers, and leaves.

YARN
The strawberry stem is made using 8/4 cotton yarn. You can use any brand you like, but this pattern was designed using Hjertegarn Cotton No. 8 and Lammy Yarns Cotton 8/4.
For one strawberry stem you will need approximately:

• Red/Burgundy: approx. 11 g
• Green: approx. 9 g
• Off-white: approx. 2 g
• Yellow: approx. 2 g Note: You can use any cotton yarn with a similar weight. Using different yarn or hook sizes will change both the finished size and yarn consumption.

YOU WILL ALSO NEED

• A small amount of stuffing
• 1 floral wire, 30 cm (11.8 inches), 2 mm thick
• 5 floral wires, 30 cm (11.8 inches), 0.6 mm thick
• Hot glue gun

CROCHET HOOK
2.0 mm (US B-1)
If you normally use a different hook size with your chosen yarn, you can do so. Please note that the finished size and yarn usage may vary. Check your gauge if needed.

CROCHET GAUGE
10 cm (4 inches) = 24 single crochet stitches
If you have fewer than 24 stitches over 10 cm, use a smaller hook.
If you have more than 24 stitches over 10 cm, use a larger hook.
