Are you dreaming of picking strawberries on warm June days? We know we are! This fun strawberry beret was inspired by summertime trips to the you-pick farm, but don’t let that stop you from rocking it all year round.

This pattern is recommended for moderate beginners. It is worked in the round and features stranded colourwork. The leaves are knitted separately and attached later on using a duplicate stitch. A cute i-cord stem brings the whole look together. This is a great project for those looking to dip their toes into stranded colourwork.

We suggest using Cascade 220 yarn, however this is a great project for using up scraps (you won’t use anywhere near an entire ball for this knit). Anything in a medium weight should work, just keep in mind that certain fibers will bear different results.

Finished brim circumference: 42cm
Hat diameter: 27cm

Designers note: I’m currently making minor alterations to this pattern so stay tuned for an updated/ revised pattern. :)
