Here in the Welsh valleys, we’re not far from the Brecon Beacons and there the sheep roam free through the mountains and streams and so Streaming Through The Mountains was born. The central column of this cowl is a Japanese fan stitch which I think perfectly represents the streams and it is flanked by two columns of ladder stitch to represent the rocks and meadows on the mountains.

This pattern is both charted and written out so you can decide what you prefer. I have provisionally cast on and joined with the Kitchener Stitch for a seamless join. Don’t run away! It’s really easy! I’m a novice knitter myself and if I can do it, so can you!

I hope you enjoy my pattern.
