This is a quick and simple lace garter that makes a great addition to the Chrysanthemum Gown and Shawl.

It is created by crocheting directly into the loops of a piece of elastic band with looped edging. The elastic band helps to keep the garter from slipping down when worn. Crocheting into the loops of the elastic reduces the bulkiness that usually results from crocheting around the elastic band and the loops help to keep the stitch spacing consistent.

You can adapt this pattern to almost anything. Try making this as a headband, bracelet, necklace, bouquet wrap, or other accessory items. The pattern is both written and charted, and includes the flower.
