This striped hat was designed to be made with WildWestDyes’ Worsted weight pure merino wool.

Simple design with striking stripes, suitable for all knitters, requiring 20-28g (0.7-1oz) or worsted weight yarn in three colours.

As well as knowing the standard knitting stitches, you will need to know, or learn the following techniques.

  • Knit 2 together

Notions required:
8 stitch markers (including one unique stitch marker) and a darning needle.

A rolling stocking stitch border to frame your face, one of my favourite edges for a hat.

WildWestDye’s worsted weight 4ply pure merino is a 17 count merino - supersoft and heavenly to work with. (for context, cashmere is 19 microns and below)
