This little cowl is the perfect stash buster. It looks great with whatever combination of colors you choose… And it even looks great in just one color!
It knits up super fast in garter stitch.
To keep the knitter from purling too much, all the rows are knitted back and forth and you join both ends of your project as you work each row.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
13 inches (33 cm) wide and 53½ inches (136 cm) long, made into a loop.

MATERIALS
Yarn: 2 skeins of Fino (70% merino, 30% silk; 490y 448m / 100g) or Alma (100% merino; 540y 500m / 100g) by Manos del Uruguay.
Or approx. 450y 409m each of 2 different colors of fingering weight yarn.
NOTE: You DO need the yardage listed to complete the cowl as written and shown. However, you can cast on fewer sts (an even number) to make the cowl slightly smaller, which will allow you to use slightly smaller skeins, for example with 400y.
I used: Color 1: Fino in color Rosewater; color 2: Alma in color Persistence.
Needles: US 4 (3.5mm) circular needles.
Other notions: Crochet hook, waste yarn, tapestry needle.

GAUGE
24 stitches and 42 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) in garter st after blocking on US 4 (3.5 mm) needles.
Gauge is not crucial for this project. However, changes might result in a different yardage requirement.
