Striped Esjan
This top-down design begins with easy garter stitch stripes featuring Walk Collection Cottage Merino. Yarn over eyelets shape the semi-circular shawl for easy meditative knitting. Large lace holes decorate the border with a glowing mohair silk contrast color. The holes increase in size and produce a lovely scalloped edging inspired by the mountains of Iceland.
This pattern is also available in Westknits Bestknits 3 - Shawl Evolution. If you download this pattern from the Westknits Bestknits e-book, the yarn and color information may be slightly altered to reflect the samples photographed in the book, but the instructions remain the same.
