This pattern is one of eight from the e-book “Little Scarves: Baktus and Karius for the Loom”. The simplicity of the Karius scarf lends itself beautifully to color striping.

Loom: The pattern is written for three loom gauges. The peg numbers below are suggested, but directions are included for varying your scarf size.
5/8 inch = 28 pegs
½ inch = 32 pegs
3/8 inch = 36 pegs

Yarn: The photo was made in madelinetosh tosh merino light in Ruby Slippers and Berocco Folio in Tidal. The amounts below are suggested:
Lace = 110 yards each color
Fingering = 100 yards each color
DK = 90 yards each color
Worsted = 80 yards each color
Bulky = 70 yards each color

The e-book comes with two files. One is a large print 24 point font, and the other is a 12 point font paper-saver file. The book includes 8 patterns, as well as information on variations for your Simple Baktus and a photo gallery.

My patterns are low vision and screen reader accessible. The text is black, Arial and large print 24 point font. All of the directions are fully written out and no charts are relied on to complete the patterns. No italics are used. They are screen reader and tablet friendly.
