Striped Square Socks are knitted in Rauma 2-ply Gammelserie, a 100% Norwegian wool yarn. The firm twist makes the yarn particularly durable and well suited for socks. The graphic pattern of stripes and squares gives the socks their name – Striped Square. The pattern is easy to follow since it repeats rhythmically according to the charts. The socks are worked top-down with a reinforced heel, gusset shaping and a classic rounded toe.
The reinforced heel makes the socks more durable while also adding a decorative detail.
The socks are part of the Striped Square series, which also includes a sweater and halfmittens.

This pattern suits knitters with some experience knitting socks and who feel comfortable working colorwork from charts. The socks are worked in the round on double-pointed needles and include a reinforced heel, gusset decreases and toe shaping.
