Striped vest
A basic pattern, quick and easy to make!
The construction is very straightforward and ideal for anyone trying a vest with circular needles for the first time. It also offers the chance to practise some knitting essentials: tubular cast-on and bind-off, picking up stitches for the edgings, and the three-needle bind-off.
The vest is worked entirely in stocking stitch with 2x2 rib edgings. Once the body is complete, the work is divided into front and back to continue separately, while keeping the colour sequence throughout.
The sample garment shown is a size M with a regular fit.
You’ll find the instructions to make the vest in 5 sizes, from XS to XL, followed by a make-to- measure version based on your tension swatch! All the calculations are laid out step by step so you’ll know exactly how to proceed at each stage of the project :)
