Striped Wristwarmers
Striped Wristwarmers
Striped Wristwarmers offer a soft, welcoming way to explore color while creating a cozy accessory perfect for everyday wear—or for gifting to someone special. Worked seamlessly in the round, the design blends gentle stripes with a subtle colorwork round between each band, giving the transitions a smooth, handcrafted charm. With minimal floats and an easy, steady rhythm, this project is an ideal first step into stranded knitting. It’s quick, comforting to make, beginner-friendly, and a versatile addition to any handmade wardrobe.
The pattern combines two of The Fibre Co.’s beautiful yarns—Amble Minis and Transitions—to highlight both texture and tone. Amble, a soft yet durable fingering-weight blend of Merino wool, alpaca, and recycled nylon, offers rich color and gentle elasticity, perfect for close-fitting accessories. Paired with Transitions, a color-changing yarn that effortlessly shifts from one hue to the next, the result is a harmonious interplay of color.

Foundations: The first wobbly scarf you knit and knotted proudly around your neck to keep out the cold. The handmade mittens you wore as a child, a gift from a beloved relative. When we think about the hours spent making those items, we understand that they are an act of love. It’s the time you set aside for your own creativity that day. It’s the way you felt as your beloved pulled on your hat as they left for work that day. Each stitch, a hidden wish. The gift of handmade is at the core of our latest series of design collections. We named it ‘Foundations’ because these are the building blocks for a lifelong hobby in which we can clothe ourselves and our loved ones in beautiful colours and texture.
