Stripes and Stars Cardigan is a striped chunky cardigan.
This cardigan makes cold days brighter and just perfect for any special occasions or for every day wear over your favorite dresses or with jeans.
It was designed with simple open fronts, drop shoulders, oversized fit and bracelet balloon sleeves.
You can make this cardigan in one solid color or with stripes in your favorite colors.
Pattern is written for four colors used in this cardigan and all the measurements provided in rows / cm / inches so you can easily customize and use how many colors you want.
This design also perfectly works for using all the leftovers from mohair yarn.

Stripes and Stars Cardigan is worked bottom up. You start working body flat in one piece from hem to underarms, then back and front panels are worked separately. Shoulders are joined together with Three needles bind off method and sleeves are picked up and worked in the round top down.

Original yarn
BBB Soft dream (70% mohair, 30% silk; 25g/0.9oz - 220m/241yds), work held 4 strands together.
For ONE color cardigan - 13 (14, 15, 16) balls / 325 (350, 375, 400) g;
For FOUR colors cardigan:
For size 1: colors A, B, C - 3 balls / 75g of each, color D (used for edging) - 4 balls / 100 g;
For sizes 2, 3: colors A, B, C, D – 4 balls / 100 g of each;
For size 4: colors A, B, C – 4 balls / 100 g of each, color D - 5 balls / 125 g.
Optional – 1 ball of Lana Gatto Gliter (49% nylon, 51% polyester; 25g/0.9oz – 300 m / 328 yds).
Suggested yarn: Any lace mohair yarn with proportions 25g/0.9oz - 200-250m /219-273yds, worked held 4 strands together or bulky weight yarn worked single stranded in order to obtain the required gauge.

Gauge
13 sts x 17 rows = 10 cm (4’’) in St st using larger needles after blocking.
