Last summer I designed a Strolling around hat. And I knitted 3 of them. I love the pattern and then I decided to knit a matching cowl.
That is how Strolling around cowl was born.
It combines cable/lace pattern similar to the hat and knit and purl panels.
I love mixing lace and textured stitches. They are simple, modern, feminine and can be combined with any kind of clothes.
Eden Cottage Yarns Titus 4 ply is a perfect yarn for this garment, as you can appreciate its subtle change of color in stockinette and garter stitch panel. I used Ramble Rose and fell in love with this beautiful noble shade.
Elegant rose with a subtle wine red overtone.
You can knit this cowl in its original size, make it longer, double etc.
Special techniques: provisional cast on, grafting, i-cord, simple cables.
