100% of the money that I receive from the sale of this pattern will be donated to RAICES, a nonprofit which provides immigrant families with low cost and free legal services. They are currently helping to reunite immigrant children who have been separated from their families. That inhumane act of removing children from their families is what set me to action. This is not about the politics, this is about humanity, or rather the inhumanity in separating families. We are and always will be Stronger Together.

This hat is written to fit an average adult, however if you wish to make a hat to fit a child or infant, you can make the following adjustments:
Children’s Hat: Use Light worsted or DK weight yarn and needles which will get you a gauge of 5 Sts per inch
Infant Hat: Use sport or DK weight yarn and needles which will get you a gauge of 5.75 Sts per inch
This hat is deep and sits well over the ears. If you want a hat that is not as deep, you can reduce the number of rows of ribbing and/or decrease more quickly in the crown (by removing the plain knit rounds).

Yarn Requirements for Adult Hat:
Yarn: Approximately 120y Main Color (MC), 50y Contrast Color (CC) Worsted Weight Yarn.
